This is an excellent product. I am updating my rating after two years of use. Those potholders have saved hands from burns more times than I know. The long cuffs now have burn lines where they protected hands from the hot elements of the electric fryer, but the double-lined canvas cuffs are still intact and fully usable. I machine wash them every month (the inner cotton lining is turned inside out; gentle) and now they're more comfortable than ever. Silicone surfaces are grippy and give us complete control over hot objects. Excellent. They're big, protecting my wrists and allowing me full reach of large pots in the oven or on the stovetop. They're perfect for grabbing small casseroles with one hand. I have been using them happily for several months. But today it snowed. THEY WORK LIKE A PENGUIN FINS AND ARE THE BEST WINDSHIELD SNOW SCRAPERS! Wear them over your mittens and scrape all the wet snow off your car, keeping your hands dry and warm. I've also washed them in the front loading washing machine and tumble dried many times. I can't find any damage to the gloves. I prefer to pull the inner cotton lining "inside out" of the silicone glove. The inner lining, originally stained with oil and tomato sauce, is sparkling clean. The design withstands mechanical stress (soft cycle). I now prefer the very soft inner lining that comes out after washing. This is a really useful kitchen product. I've used almost every time the stove is on. I hung it on a hook just above the stove. They have some cute hooks (aka "fruit loops") on the cuffs. Excellent product that I recommend to everyone.
