Used to attach a surveillance camera to a tree. For attaching things to trees this worked great, the cable is flexible and thin enough in diameter to fit through the trail camera mount. The 6 foot length is good, it wraps around a tree almost 2 feet in diameter. Unfortunately, the keys are tiny and thin. When turning in the cold, the key broke off in the lock. I was able to pry it out with pliers, but the lock is useless without a key. They give you a second key but I don't carry both on the same keychain and I've been in the woods. I decided to try and pick the lock to gain access to the camera. I just cut it with a gerber and found that the "cable" is just 7 small twisted steel wires. Even though it's a cable lock, I was blown away by how easy it was to cut. If you're using it for a security camera, note that it might deter an adventurous thief, but if they really want your camera, they'll get it (guess, that goes for anything). After realizing how flimsy it was I tried to cut it with a pocket knife and cut 2 strands in one sharp motion. Bottom line: This is good for tying things to a tree, but if you're on public property this can be easily beaten. . Also be very careful with the key.
