This NAS was pretty easy to set up and run. I used a matched pair of WD Red hard drives in a RAID 0 configuration for secure backups. For Mac users like me, a Time Machine option is built in, which works fairly reliably for me with regular backups every few hours. I love that Terra Master gives you an online link to connect to your NAS over the internet when you're not at home. In addition, the downloadable applications include PLEX, Dropbox, SVN and Git servers to name a few, the RAM is expandable and you can access it via SSH and FTP protocols.
