Build quality is excellent, software is rubbish

Actual device construction is amazing, probably the standard for all NAS drives. The software shows partly Chinese menus, partly English. Computer hard drive indicator reliability is inconsistent and as it is a new company trying to find suitable software support/tutorials it is difficult to get them.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Processing is excellent, software scrap

The assembly of the device itself is amazing, probably the benchmark for all NAS drives. The software shows partly Chinese menus, partly English. Computer hard drive indicator reliability is inconsistent and as it is a new company trying to find suitable software support/tutorials it is difficult to get them.

Pros
  • Only positives
Cons
  • Annoying

This NAS was pretty easy to set up and run. I used a matched pair of WD Red hard drives in a RAID 0 configuration for secure backups. For Mac users like me, a Time Machine option is built in, which works fairly reliably for me with regular backups every few hours. I love that Terra Master gives you an online link to connect to your NAS over the internet when you're not at home. In addition, the downloadable applications include PLEX, Dropbox, SVN and Git servers to name a few, the RAM is…

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Style 90

I really got what I paid for!

Don't buy this, it's made in China and doesn't work well outside the country. From frequent crashes to slow loading, sorry to pay for it. The cloud upload doesn't work either, I can only upload images when I'm on my local network, uploading from a remote network is not possible. Don't waste money like me. Buy a Synology NAS and save yourself the headache.

Pros
  • Useful not just for its intended purpose
Cons
  • So far so good

Good price but good for storage

Love the design and the software. I connected my 4 1TB drives and they were up and running in no time. It can be a bit noisy but I can handle it. BUT my only complaint is that the system hibernates the drives after about 10 minutes when not in use and it takes about a minute for the server to start responding. It's driving me and my wife crazy. We both work from home and store everything on our NAS. However, if you have open files on the server and your software checks the status of the file…

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • A bit shabby
