The cap fits snugly over the filler neck on my 2017 Ram 2500 with Cummins. The magnet is enough to hold the cap on the fuel filler flap. I attached a vinyl coated wire rope through the cap and hole on the fuel tank door hinge. Now the chances of dropping the cap or losing it are reduced to zero.
