I really liked this swimsuit, I bought it on a cruise. It definitely draws attention compared to regular board shorts, but if you're in decent shape then it's a good thing. Also, the design is better than typical "speedometers" thanks to the hip coverage, so they don't look too outrageous, and the back coverage is perfect. I normally wear a size 29-30 in jeans, but following the advice of others I went for a size 32. I'm glad I did as they are quite tight on the legs. So if you don't have chicken thighs, I recommend going up a size. high.
