What I did: Went to Home Depot or wherever and got a 1/4" converter so you can convert your You can connect air hose. I have a package of various fittings for about $5. One of these screws directly onto the 1/4" nlp that comes with the kit. - I mixed the drywall (drilled the mixture) to a pancake consistency for the knockdown. I haven't had any problems with constipation. I used the cheapest air compressor I could find a small 6 liter pancake. I did the math and found I would have recommended over 7cfm at 35psi for this gun, some may like it but too small for me. I used one funnel full of my topping at a time and then let the compressor rest while I stirred up the previous funnel. It seemed to be working well, and letting the little compressor sit would extend its life. The end result looks the same as when it was first disassembled on my walls. So I'm very satisfied. I'm not a pro and this was my first try.
