I bought this when I was a bike messenger and it fit in almost every delivery that came my way. Now it serves as my everyday bag for commuting to work and also allows me to bike trips to the grocery store. I usually keep a change of dry work clothes in there because I can rely on my things to stay dry. I've never really tested its water resistance by submerging it in water, but it survived two torrential summer rains and several snowstorms without a single drop of water getting inside. I don't rely on an external zip pocket to keep my quick access items dry like a train ticket or travel snacks, but it hasn't let me down yet. The straps are easy to adjust but stay where I put them which is nice as I will adjust them as needed depending on the load. Can't comment on the chest strap as I don't like wearing it, but it seems just as reliable as the other components. I will buy this bag again if or even if my current one fails.
