Am I wrong in assuming that China has the same standards for tool steel as the US? In any case, I work with hard materials in my workshop (4140, P20, Maxel, etc.), these parallels are only suitable for aluminum. I pulled out my file and slightly removed the corner. If you even get mild steel shavings under one of these, you'll be out of the parallel set before you know it. I will come back as soon as I get the opportunity. A finely sanded surface looks and feels terrible. Maybe they don't understand that you need to clean your grinding wheel before the next part is back in China?
