FOLD CREASES BEYOND REPAIR

This is a very nice rug. Beautiful brown, good quality with rubber backing BUT it had been folded and laying around for who knows how long in some storage area. The creases and folds were unfixable. I tried steam ironing with a towel between the iron and rug and then laying flat with with heavy weights for 4 days. No improvement. Not worth the trouble of sending back so into the garbage it went. If you could be assured that it would lie flat it would be perfect in front of a kitchen sink.

Pros

Works great..but the humps from being folded can get in the way.

Lip on the edge could be a tripping hazard

This was to add safety for a 89 year old. But it is so creased that it won''t lay flat. I have tried putting heavy objects on it and even warming it in the dryer, but nothing works. It is dangerous. I ordered it because it is supposed to be thin, which it is. But if the creases stick up 3/4 of an inch, what is the point of having a thin mat? It is a tripping hazard! Mine arrived folded into squares. If you got one that has always been rolled, it might work.
