Strong smell and broken plastic

I am so sad I bought these for my wedding but they have a really bad smell and the ends of the dishes are not finished you can see/feel , where they are broke the plastic. I'm not sure if I can use them, the smell is very strong when you open the packaging. I would not recommend that. Plastic bends just as easily.
