This is a great alternative to straps/tie downs. They really save you a lot of time when loading and unloading your bike and are also safe. I installed them on a piece of 3/4" thick hard plywood and then attached the entire assembly to the back of my Ford Ranger using the body mounts as anchors. The setup is amazing and really solid. The only improvement I can think of , are some improved hinge bolts. They loosen fairly quickly in use and need frequent tightening. It's still a lot easier than straps. Overall a great product, good welds and solid construction.
