Review on Stanley Proto J5250XL 3/8" Drive Professional Long Handle Pear Head Ratchet, 11 by Michael Tegan

This is a non-locking F80. It doesn't look like it, and if you like thin teeth, this ratchet might not be for you. I want to start with a brand, I have many prototypes and have never been disappointed! This 45-tooth ratchet features a smooth, durable mechanism and an 8-12 degree arc angle. I'm an industrial electrician, low swing isn't a necessity, durability is important. After breaking a Stanley 72 punching bag for my assistants (which is the closest I can get), I wanted something more industrial than the typical Husky, Stanley, or Craftsman. I stumbled upon this ratchet, researched it for a few weeks and it went on sale for $29.97 plus shipping. Worked great and another bestseller is LENGTH. Measuring approximately 11 3/4 inches in diameter, this tool packs leverage and more! With a coarser mechanism, the tool failure rate is significantly reduced. It is very thin in thickness, "low profile". It is comfortable and can be used all day long. It gets a bit slippery with oil. I would highly recommend this product to industry professionals. A car mechanic probably wouldn't choose this as their first choice.
