Overall I like the Porter Cable Loop jig. Using a Bosch plunge router I was able to easily cut the grooves for the front door that I was installing. I was planning on making my own template but when I saw how cheap a ready made template was I said why bother? Now for what's included, it's junk. Pretty sure the cutting edges are cast iron. Well, not quite, but they got boring very quickly. So fast I'm not even sure if it's tool steel. And hard metal is out of the question. As a result, the service life is rather limited. Mine blew after a door. The first slip-in loop came out nice. While the last was a burnt/chewed mush. Think of it as a consumable. In general I am satisfied, especially with such a low price.
