Review on πŸ”§ Brake Lever Internals Service Kit with Rebuild Part Piston Assembly, Ensures Sram GUIDE LEVEL CODE DB5 Unlocks Smoothly, Eliminating Sticking or Oil Leakage by Aaron Martin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Almost, but the diaphragm seems to be too long.

Installed in Guide RS. The metal part seems to be the same size, but when I bled the brakes I couldn't get fluid from the caliper to the lever and when I bled the lever it pulled out a wad of air when I applied the vacuum. Took the piston assembly out and found the first diaphragm seal was slightly larger. I think this blocks the hole in the reservoir so I can push fluid from the lever to the caliper but not the other way around and why when bleeding the lever air can get in because the hole is now behind the diaphragm. I'll try replacing this diaphragm with the original and see what happens.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Expensive
