Extremely Dissatisfied Macintosh User

If you are a Mac user and are considering buying this product, save yourself the hassle and don't do it. I'm a web/graphic designer and I had a project that required me to burn an interactive Flash project onto a CD. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a CD burner, so I bought it with the intention of burning my project to CD and then using the burner to create personalized audio CDs from my growing MP3 collection. It wasn't that easy. After installing the recorder for the first time, I found that I had to update my entire operating system to version 9.1 to run the recorder. no big deal, I had yet to do it. So I did. After that, I set up a burner and started burning my projects to CDs as needed. However, one day I started trying to burn my AIFF/WAV files to create audio CDs. everything fell apart. The first three CDs were recorded normally. Since then I've ruined 11 discs. I've been on the phone with IOMega tech support so many times. I've done everything they say from reinstalling the recorder and software to updating the Toast software from '4.1' to '4.1.2' to '5.0 Titanium' to '5.1 Titanium'. I even have tech support like . B. "I should try another brand of rewritable CDs." I keep having the same problems and new ones keep popping up. Today I finally gave up and first thing tomorrow morning I sent the burner back under warranty. This time I'm going to buy a FireWire drive. There is no reason anyone should buy such an expensive product and take so many extra steps to get it working properly. In short, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! (At least if you're a Mac user like me.)
