This was a great solution for beautiful but complex windows. Custom blinds would cost MUCH more. BUT SERIOUS WARNING. About a week after installation, one of our huge picture windows broke. It started with a crack but within 24 hours the glass started falling off and we had to do an emergency patch. The glassworker said the shutters trap heat and custom windows are not designed to withstand that and the heat can crack the glass. Especially in old houses. I have to believe they were the cause because they worked without problems for over 20 years and a few days after installation when we had a warm day. Crack! I live in a coastal community, this was only in the low 80's. These types of windows are often flat glass as it seems you only need to have tempered/security glass on the lower windows. So it was dangerous and we had to destroy them all. boo Btw the glue worked REALLY well so taking them off was *%^#! However, WD-40 dissolved the adhesive well. Finally I wanted to do a review with photos to show they work for corner windows. It took a long time to figure out the measurements and you can see we had to cut from narrow to wide with the pleats at the top. but it looked really nice and very professional. I was so impressed with the result! So messed up we had to take them off.
