Gosky Review 2019 updated the latest spotting scope that came with Canon DSLR and iPhone adapter. I bought a scope to shoot some of the eagles nests and screeching owls that I know where they hang out. I saw a guy with this scope and he was able to completely penetrate the tree that the screeching owl was in with his iPhone than I could with a $3000 camera and a 100-400mm Sigma lens . The following review is for those interested in photographing the moon. I have not tested this on birds but expect the same problems. All of the moon photos and videos I've posted were taken with my iPhone 12 Pro Max. Check out the photos and videos I've attached. It was very windy yesterday and I used a light tripod, so I think the photos and videos could be clearer. I found out this morning that I have an old Fotodiox adapter that I used to mount Canon lenses on my Sony A7ii camera. I had no problem connecting the Fotodiox adapter to my Sony A7iii and the included Canon DSLR attachment to the scope so I can now use all my 3 cameras. I didn't photograph the moon with a DSLR or Sony camera. It was a nightmare due to the weight of the camera body and trying to find the moon when the scope was upright. The moon was high in the sky. It was a lot easier with the iPhone as the iPhone was lighter so my tripod didn't wobble much and it auto-focused on the moon most of the time and was better quality. I took raw photos with the camera and video at 60 fps. I have not edited or cropped any photos or videos. It's straight from my iPhone. Yes, he came that close to the moon. I had to zoom in on my phone to not get the vignette. Cons: You have to be patient when photographing the moon. It takes time to find the moon with a tiny whole telescope. The weight balance of a DSLR or Sony camera will cause the video to shake unless you have a sturdy tripod and ball head. . Therefore, use a sturdy tripod with a swivel knob when the earth rotates, so you have to slowly move the tripod ball head to align the moon. Too much movement and your back to frustration because you have to find the moon again. Pros: Worth the price Feel like a kid when you see how far it can go. Do you always want to discover more. Want to travel with it everywhere I go just in case to see what's out there. Clear picture during the day. It may be easier to photograph stationary subjects like an eagle's nest.
