Very nice how it worked for me. including buttons on the steering wheel.

This is to help those trying to fit this into a Mazda 6th with a factory Bose and the addition of a rear view camera. Connect all wiring harnesses to the back of the unit. Each plug only fits into one socket. View of the pink main plug. There is a brown wire labeled REVERSE. Cut the wire in half. The end that goes to the pink connector, connect to the ignition power source. The Acc wire is pink and already soldered to power the radio and push button controls. just tap it. There should be 12 volts when the ignition is switched on. This will power the Bose amp. The other end of this cable that goes to the radio is the camera return cable. Go to the trunk, connect the power of the camera to the reversing light in the trunk lid on the driver's side, red is positive, black is negative. .Connect the camera power cable and video trigger to the red cable. Also black to black. Then reconnect the video and trigger combo cable that came with the camera to the radio. Connect this RCA connector to the video jack on the back of the radio and the trigger wire to the other half of the tan wire on the back of the radio. and this turns on the camera when you shift into reverse. it was actually easy once I figured it out. a few hours later. otherwise there is nothing to cut. just plug it in and get started. looks good and sounds good. The control buttons worked from the start. By the way, there is a display setting so it doesn't turn off the sound in reverse mode. glad i found this. hp Cable connector to the display above the radio. it doesn't fit the plug. but I still hated looking at that display, it's ugly. so I did NOT leave it plugged in. 1 star deduction for that.

Pros
  • Car Electronics
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
