Review on 🚫 Kidde KN COPE D Photoelectric Combo Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm with Battery Operation and Voice Prompts by Anthoni Hayes

THIS IS THE BIGGEST POS smoke alarm I have ever seen. I remodeled my house last year and the finishing touches were new smoke/carbon monoxide alarms throughout the house (8 alarms total) and within a week of installing one of them started beeping and screaming from a fire that wasn't really there was. I re-read the instructions and realized that I had installed the detector in a location that was "not quite perfect, but still within specs". I moved the detector and reinstalled the battery and it immediately started beeping and wouldn't turn off. I sent it back to the store where I bought it and got a replacement. The new one lasted 2 days before doing the same. After the second rejection within a short period of time, I contacted Kidde directly. Once is an accident, twice is a problem. Kidde said they would replace the damaged unit and I should have a new one in the mail in 5-7 days. After 2 weeks I contacted them again for two reasons; 1) I never got a replacement, 2) I had another breakdown. I ended up getting a replacement from Kidde and they seemed to be working up until this weekend. We were baking a cake in the oven and smoke filled the house and the smoke alarms never went off. Later that night, all of a sudden, long after the smoke had cleared the house, the sensor suddenly came on and wouldn't turn off. TO SAY IT EASY: I DON'T BELIEVE IN KIDDE PRODUCTS ANYMORE! Save yourself time, frustration and possibly your life and get another brand.
