I bought the first X34 in 2016 for $1399. It was the best gaming monitor back then and has worked flawlessly for me for over 2 years. It reached 100 Hz and worked every day without error. No dead pixels, no glare. Fantastic. That's why I trust Acer and bought another Acer product. I've played many single player games like Tomb Raider, Farcry, Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, GTA, too many to count. The experience was PHENOMENAL! BUT. I went back to shooters like PUBG, COD and Counterstrike. and 100Hz just didn't cut it. So I bought a BenQ ZOWIE XL2546. It's a fantastic monitor for what it does (240Hz is sooooo nice) but when I saw this new X34 come out and go on sale (mine was bought for 899) I couldn't resist. I upgraded to this new one and WOW what a shock. Shame about the old version and just what I needed to make the x34 an amazing all round monitor that shines in literally every game I play on it. The flex is more extreme than the old X34 (which I hated at first and now love). too many words) and the extra 20Hz refresh rate really makes a difference. I now play CS:GO, PUBG and COD on x34 (I used to hate that because 100Hz was too choppy) and the action feels nice and smooth. I'm winning PUBG games with 10+ kills again and this monitor looks as good as I feel doing it. The detail and immersion are like nothing else on the market. If you have a powerful gaming PC and haven't played Ultra Wide QHD games yet, BUY IT. You will not regret it. I know there will be an X35 (new 200hz version) but A) it's not IPS B) there's no release date and they teased it over 18 months ago and still no update C) it'll be $1500 + cost D) Actually I don't know. I don't think a computer can get much above 120fps at 3440x1440 in most games for quite some time. I currently have a water-cooled 8086k and 1080ti and I can barely get 120fps in most modern mid-range graphics games at that resolution (with the exception of Counterstrike, where I can easily get 300fps). I have a 2080ti on the way so this will give me a boost but to be honest at half the price of the upcoming x35 I think this monitor is a bargain. 120 Hz is enough to be competitive. 240 is fine, but 120 is fine. So in a year or two I'll be upgrading the graphics cards back to something that can actually run 3440 x 1440 at 200fps and then I'll buy x35 once the price goes down. under $1,000. In the meantime, this monitor is too good for words to describe. Trust me folks, you just won't believe it until you see it. This thing will (literally) open your eyes to a whole new world of gaming excellence you didn't even know existed.
