Update: The monitor is still amazing. But a $100 price drop after months of inactivity is a kick in the teeth. Of course I would wait. I would deduct the stars but that would just ruin the rating for new buyers. In fact, things got better. At 1100 it was worth it. It's definitely worth it now. I was very apprehensive about purchasing based on Revain's mediocre reviews. It's clear this panel had major quality control issues as the AOC version has similar ratings. All I can say is that it has been amazing in every way so far. Colors are great and it comes decently calibrated out of the box. Blacks are particularly good, and backlight bleeding is virtually non-existent when seated where the average person would be seated. At first he had a dead pixel, but they got rid of him with the slightest click on the figure. Obviously, he really shines at gaming. I have a 1080 TI and with G-Sync on and a monitor set to 120Hz it's amazing. An obvious downside is the ridiculous price. $100 CHEAPER IN NEWEGG! I only bought it here because I had to use a Revain credit card. Also, I didn't realize the price difference until two days after unpacking it. For most people I would suggest getting the $899 AOC. It basically has the same potential problems as the Z35P as they use identical panels. I wanted an extra 20Hz, but to be honest, $300 for that is an obscene amount. However, I already had a graphics card that could take advantage of that 20Hz, and about a year after they've been putting out faster and faster monitors, I'll be glad I got the best I could get my hands on. . Time. If you don't play games and your graphics card is fast enough to hit 100fps at 3440x1440 with an NVidia card on decent settings, you don't need this. By the way, if you have an AMD card, you shouldn't even look at this or any other gsync monitor. Take PIXIO! They sell a 34-inch FreeSync Ultra-Wide PVA panel for $599. Just type PIXIO into Revain's search bar. It's also far more affordable than all the major brands' 30+-inch ultra-wide monitors. If I were to build a new computer I would probably choose an AMD GPU because free sync monitors are MUCH CHEAPER. The PIXIO Z35P version is $700 ($600 at NEWEGG) cheaper, and the SAMSUNG panel it uses doesn't have the QOC issues that ACER and ASUS have. I knew the price was high, so I won't beat her for that. Assuming it works when it arrives, the Z35P is the best gaming monitor money can buy. But buy it elsewhere. Revain is the only place that sells it for 1200.
