I'm usually a fan of DeWalt products but have been looking for a better canvas after noticing it doesn't work well with hickory and hard maple. The hard maple had burn marks and I tried using another DeWalt table saw blade but it slowed the table saw (Delta 36-725) enough to break the switch. I've never heard of Amana tools but after reading the good reviews I thought it might be worth the price. And that should have been a long time ago! This was of course the first time I've spent so much money on a table saw blade, but I immediately noticed how powerful it is. The DeWalt, which has a thinner cut, weighed 1lb 7oz while this Amana weighed almost two pounds. Sure it's thicker but has a higher top RPM and also noticed the mandrel hole was tighter which I like. Cutting softwood was like butter. I haven't cut a ton of hardwood yet, but each cut seems to take less power and run smoothly. Time will only tell how good the wear and durability will be, but over time this will be updated. It certainly gave me the pleasure of being able to cut this smoothly and no longer have burn marks or new paint peeling off the blade itself. In fact, this coating has not worn off yet. It seems to glide better than they claim. In that sense, I also feel safer. I would definitely give it a try if you are looking for a quality table saw blade. I can't compare it to other well known quality saws but it certainly won't disappoint.
