Seems to be a high quality product that makes my door more secure. Another reviewer wrote that the holes don't match standard door openings. This manufacturer makes a similar product for a door where the two lock holes are closer together, but it's not. I think the reviewer either bought the wrong product or is leaving a review for the wrong product. In each case, specific specifications are available that you should check before purchasing. This one fits perfectly with the standard cutouts on my front door. It looks great with my matching hardware that I bought separately. The instructions were a little confusing but using this product is pretty clear. Remove the hardware, install over the holes, screw in the screws that go in the door jamb, reinstall the hardware, screw in the screws that go in the front of the door. This will (obviously) make the door thicker, so you may have to sand down the part of the doorjamb that Julie wants to close properly, and may still fit tighter due to the extra material now on the outside of your door.
