I replaced my "regular" door hanger with this one and it seems more secure. Not that it would really deter anyone from entering, but at least it will fight back and give me time. Makes it stronger and better fixes.

I wish I had known this before installing but due to this safety the seal now has a gap between the door and the cover. This is unfortunate and likely contributing to a small leak. Now you need to install an additional gasket (separately to properly close the leak).

I found the oiled bronze finish scratched fairly easily when fitting door handles. Fits standard size holes for handle and latch. But for some weird reason, they put these notches in the holes. My door handles don't completely cover the recess so the hole is visible. Not overly excited about it, but I'm probably the only one who will notice.

Pretty Simple Installation. For pilot holes in corners, use a 1/8 bit to pilot the holes. These screws hold the protective plate firmly to the door. There are pre-drilled screw holes at the top and bottom on both sides of the fender door reinforcement. Assuming you already have the locks and door, the rest of the hardware to install this kit on your door is included. I will buy another set for my rented apartment. Very happy with my purchase.

To be honest it matched my black Schlage finish and Revain is by far the fastest to deliver. However, the dimensions in the item description led me to think it was longer than a regular reinforced door, but it isn't. They are the same as the regular ones you can buy at Home Depot. This will greatly improve the security of your door. Most doors can be easily hacked. The problem isn't your door lock, it's how cheaply your doors are made. Most doors only have about 1/4 inch of wood next to the doorknob and latch and can easily splinter when the door is kicked in. This will help strengthen the weakest part of the door.
