Ideal for a safer door

This will greatly improve the security of your door. Most doors can be easily hacked. The problem isn't your door lock, it's how cheaply your doors are made. Most doors only have about 1/4 inch of wood next to the doorknob and latch and can easily splinter when the door is kicked in. This will help strengthen the weakest part of the door. Most metal clad doors are the same and have no additional support. I also recommend purchasing the Defender Security U 10385 door latch kit. I installed both kits which required additional work to get my doors to close properly. I had to hollow out some wood to allow for the spacing. I recommend this for all wood/metal front doors.
