As I was a locksmith for many years, the fitting of the parts was quite poor. The two bodies are 0% hole machined (rough casting) and the connecting pin is horribly undersized (0.015) machined. The pulley is also 0.012 larger than the pin size. All of this together makes for a very sloppy mechanism. Mechanically, the inclined position does not allow a uniform load on the shaft (only point loads). I ended up drilling out the two halves and making a new pin that now takes the full radial and axial load. The only good thing I can say is that the price is right.
