You should know that my digital microscope was designed to study close-up images for artistic purposes. may differ from mine, and your choice of "scope" depends on your needs. The initial "Photo Mode" or "Live" screen on the TOMLOV DM10 is compressed (proportionally) and does not show the entire image until you view the final captured image. That means it's HARD to compose as it's not true WYSIWYG so I returned it for that reason alone as it was a deal breaker for me. I ended up with a TOMLOV DM201 HDMI instead, which is true WYSIWYG. The DM201 is slightly cheaper and more modern looking (perhaps a newer model?) than the DM10. Both have their pros and cons, but overall the DM201 HDMI is a better buy (IMHO), plus it has 16 megapixels (more detailed) instead of 12. I also felt that the magnification difference of the DM201 (1200x) is small. Enough difference for me to stick with DM10 (at 1300x). Working with the internal menu was inconvenient and time-consuming on both microscope models, but usable after the initial setup. The software on both models could have been designed better than it is. (I'd appreciate if they implement my suggestions, but I'm not sure if they can update the firmware on either model). The micro SD slot on the DM10 is harder to come by than on the DM201. You can download directly from the DM201 to a computer using a USB cable (making things easier), while the DM10 requires ejecting the SD card (hard to extract due to the awkward position of the slot) to transfer images to a computer . .Perhaps some features of the DM10 are more desirable to you than those of the DM201. But for me and for the money I'm sticking with the DM201 HDMI. Inexpensive (currently $158.99 as of 7/22/2021) for a fairly decent digital microscope for those getting into "small worlds". like me!
