I am pleasantly surprised with the quality and appearance of this item. I bought this to transport my fishing kayak on my 2016 Jeep Renegade. They were easy to install. I liked the included additional installation methods, longer, more permanent or quick connect/disconnect. I chose the longer and more permanent method. The kit also included two screws of different lengths. I used shorter ones. I was concerned that the screws would get in the way of the MySky car roof. They didn't interfere at all. The directions were easy to understand and the photos were helpful. Each J-Hook took about 15 minutes to install. It could have been quicker but I was really slow as I was confident in the quality of the crossbars which I also buy (see my other reviews for this info). When they finished, they felt safe. I folded them up and took them for a walk. At this point, I worried that maybe I should have gone with the quick disconnect method. However, I chose to fold the long J hook to the fully open position. I took them with me for another trip. Wind noise is significantly reduced and my car's slight additional drag at higher speeds is gone. Now I'm glad I went for a more permanent install. I love the look they gave my Jeep Renegade. You may not be able to tell right away what's on my jeep and what it's for, but you know it must be something fun.
