Review on Work Sharp Guided Sharpener WSGFS221 by Aaron Thawngzauk

I am a fan of sharp knives and have used a variety of systems over the years and have settled on the Edge Pro Apex System. I wanted something I could toss in my backpack and take to the field to keep things going and have been considering that option for a while. Finally I pulled the trigger and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The first night I received it I tried it on a couple of old pocket knives, one of which was pretty dull. In just a few minutes, both blades shaved the hair off my arm! It was quick and easy to get an edge as sharp as anything I've been able to achieve with any other system. After using this system on about half a dozen knives, it's a little more cumbersome on larger knives. As others have said, it's easier to do multiple passes and process large blades piece by piece. However, I have had great results. I don't know if I would choose this system for show quality knives, but for EDC blades intended for use, this system gives excellent results in a very short time. I definitely recommend this sharpener.
