I've had Rapsodo MLM for about a week now and I have to say I LOVE this thing! I tried the Garmin G80 but as a home monitor it wasn't enough. I use Arccos for technique and field tracking but I needed some practice and Rapsodo was fantastic. I live about 5 minutes from TopGolf so I go there often to practice. Up until now I've only done MLM there, but it's been great. INSTALLATION The installation is really very simple. MLM currently only works on iOS, but from what I've heard Android is in development. You just download the app, pair it with your phone and you're done. The MLM is already pre-calibrated, so just connect it to your phone, place it behind you (about 2.5m away from you, make sure your phone can see you fully on the screen), and you're good to go it start run! HOW TO USE MLM Be sure to read the manual to know what each color of light means. To change a club in the software, wave it at the camera and then turn it over so the camera can see the number on the bottom of the club. The software recognized my iron without any problems and changed the stick accordingly. However, it didn't recognize my woods or wedges well. He saw my PW but not my 52, 56 or 60 degree wedges. In cases where the system does not recognize the club, simply select it in the software. Once you've picked the right racquet, hit it! MLM records a video of your shot and tells you the carry distance, launch angle, club speed, ball speed and shot ratio for each shot. It also uses the camera to show you the trajectory of your ball on video. This has worked for me 95% of the time. I think he only went off the track once or twice. (See video for trajectory) The software also tracks how your shots land and the distance to the shots. I've included photos from both my woods session and my ironing session so you can see what the software is tracking. It's great to see the spread of shots and the distance between different racquets. Totally gives me more confidence in my distances and places. (You'll need to set up your GPS location as well as the direction you're hitting. I made a little mistake as the map was close to where I wanted it to be, but the map image was of the area before TopGolf was finished.) That System comes with great case and very protective. I like the ability to delete the video of my swing. I can see my swing frame by frame to see what's going on. I can even share with others if I decide to take classes. My only problem was that I couldn't get the system to see my recordings for about 30 minutes. It seemed to work but did nothing. This was more than likely user error. I grabbed my phone and ran to the bathroom causing it to lose its Bluetooth connection. After closing the system/app and then reconnecting, everything was fine. All in all, this is exactly what I'm looking for. It currently cannot be used indoors, but I received an email from a Rapsodo representative that the functionality might be available in the near future. I'm sure there will be no trajectory tracking, but we can get ball stats and clean up the backswing. It was a great Christmas present! I look forward to seeing how this will help me further in practice and push my grades down.
