I need something to make a tongue and groove for a set of speakers I'm assembling. I found this kit and decided to give it a whirlwind. The bit didn't go through the base of my Porter Cable Router so I had to use a small drum sander to pry open the plastic base. I needed a 1/2" tongue and did it in two steps, first with a 1/4" bearing and then with a 1/2" bearing. I replaced the bearings with a router in the router so the No need to readjust depth No vibration no burning I've been grinding cherries and they can be very sensitive to burns but I haven't had them and the surface was very smooth The drill worked great I was worried that the size of this drill would be awkward and potentially dangerous in my handheld router, but it worked very well.
