Review on πŸ”§ Klein Tools BD306: 5/16-Inch Flat Head Screwdriver with Keystone Tip, 6-Inch Square Shank & Comfordome Handle - Ultimate Precision & Comfort by Nathan Hutchinson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

High quality. on Screwdrivers and wrenches

This is a Vaco brand screwdriver. Vaco is a subsidiary of Klein. The tip and shaft are largely identical to typical small pillow-handle screwdrivers. It is well made and fits the screw exactly. The difference here is in the handle. It has no rubber grip and is made entirely of acetate. This makes it the best choice for mechanical work or any other situation where the driver might get dirty or messy. The handle is easier to clean and the rubber grips can deteriorate when exposed to certain chemicals. The knob is big and feels dwarfed compared to other brands, but a bigger knob means you get more torque. The recess is deep but still comfortable enough to be less likely to roll off the table. It also sits so that the stylus lies flat on the table with the tip raised off the surface, which is a nice feature. This makes it easier to lift and allows for neater storage in the toolbox tray. Acetate is bright orange in color, so it's easy to find and aesthetically pleasing. This is a well made (made in the USA) screwdriver and one of the best you can get for the money.
