Review on Improved SEO: Qualcraft 2470 Corner Buddy Stabilizer for Aluminum Ladders by Kevin Swier

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Useful but could be better.

I have two conventional stabilizers, but there are places where a full size "square" stabilizer won't work, e.g. B. when working on a corner (inside or outside) or when working between windows that are not far enough apart to accommodate the full height stabilizer. It's lightweight aluminum, which is good because too much weight can be unwieldy at the end of a long ladder. However, it would be very helpful if there was a permanently marked center line to perfectly center the device. Centering is not a problem with traditional stabilizers because the part of the stabilizer that bolts to the ladder runs parallel to the rungs of the ladder. With this arrangement this is critical as otherwise the ladder may tend to twist sideways if not centered. on the stabilizer. A painted finish is very cheap, a durable powder coating would be much better. Also, the only clear large picture showing how to assemble the device is on the box that the device comes in. A hook for hanging paint buckets and the like would also be very useful. As one reviewer pointed out, the stabilizer could theoretically move up and down the stair since the U-bolts don't engage the stair rung like a traditional stabilizer. However, I could not find any problem in this regard. After putting the stabilizer on the ladder, I can't move it at all without loosening the wing nuts on the U-bolts. All in all it's a great product for me.
