Review on Revive Your Furniture with Beyond Paint All-in-one Refinishing Paint in Soft Gray - No Stripping, Sanding, or Priming Required! (Gallon size: BP23) by Matt Reid

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The color grows on me.

The paint has the consistency of hand sanitizer, making it easy to apply. To clean up the brush strokes I used a small 1 1/2" acrylic brush. I know it sounds crazy but to be honest the consistency of the paint makes it apply quickly and smoothly. It takes 3x longer to prep than painting yourself with a small brush. Dries very quickly. The second coat can be applied after about 1 1/2 hours. I suppose it depends on the temperature in your house. I've found it works best is to apply thinner coats and repeat as needed. When the coating is completely dry the coating will look like a matte finish, so if you are looking for glossy cabinets you will need to apply polyacrylic paint in whatever finish you prefer. Beyond offers one too I apply my own sealer.I haven't decided on the finish yet.Color.grrrr.why am I only giving 4 stars.I bought light grey.It looks light gray on the computer sample but it's more of an egg white a blue-grey family. I think the light should be called dolphin gray or slate which have more blue tones. I would definitely order a color chart before purchasing this color to be absolutely sure it's the exact color you want. I love my cabinets but it's just not the color I was hoping for and for 100 gallons I wouldn't repaint them. Keep going? I don't know yet because it's only been a few weeks and I've been very careful with them as they take 30 days to fully heal. I will post an update on durability. If the color was the color I expected I would give this color more than 5 stars for application and appearance. Prep still sucks no matter what anyone says. I would REALLY be able to skip this step. However, the color dropped to 4.
