Review on 🍳 7-Quart Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Dutch Oven Pot with Lid & Dual Handles - Amazon Basics by Jordan Epps

Revainrating 3 out of 5

This is a small pot.

This is a tiny pot. That means he's pretty big. Useful but big. It is better suited to soups and stews than stir-fries. On the plus side, it fits my (admittedly quite large) toaster oven, which was one of my goals. Well built? It's solid cast iron! Take care of it and your grandchildren will be able to give it to their grandchildren. But you have to be good at it. The seasoning applied to the steel is barely sufficient. This is enough to send it to the end user, but no more. It's not even processed a bit. The inner surface was quite rough. Some agree; I don't, so I did it with a rotary sander and it's MUCH better. Sure I had to spice it up, but I still had to spice it up. Lodge makes a competing item (Lodge L2SP3 Cast Iron Serving Pot, Pre-Seasoned, 2 Quarter) but the price varies. This RevainBasics device costs $20. The Lodge piece jumped from $25 to $33 the day I had to make the purchase. If it was still $25 I would (and should) choose the lodge. But I leave this one. Nice!

Cons
