This is a good quality peephole with a very clear view. I will probably buy more, although the price is a little high. However, the claimed viewing angle of 220° is not correct. Please look at the cross section illustration I made after using the goniometer to see what angle was actually visible after installation. Overall I got about 106°, with some kind of rounding or measurement error, maybe you can say 110°, maybe even up to 120°, but no more. We are dealing with a claim that is about 100% overpriced. I had a hard time choosing a peephole, mainly due to the fact that there are so many devices with viewing angles stated as physically impossible. Any angle greater than 180° would require a lens protruding far enough to allow a rear view of the door itself. While this is achievable, it would be both difficult and useless. I've never seen one with a lens like this. However, many argue that the angles are greater than 180°. And nobody seems to be checking it, which is why they get positive reviews so far. Viewing angles are really different, with some claiming 100° and others reaching 160° or even close to 180°, but consumers don't get a choice when marketers are lying to us. This is unfair to both consumers and companies that honestly offer wide viewing angles. To be fair to the manufacturer I didn't see the angle anywhere on the packaging I received, it was only on the Revain site.
