Definitely not 220 degrees

First of all, these things are huge. They are much larger than normal eyes. Nothing wrong with that, I just wasn't expecting it. The bad point was the viewing angle; It's definitely not 220 degrees. I'm not sure if it's even better than the standard size/price peephole. The last thing to note is that since it's larger, you'll need to drill a bigger hole in your door, which means you can't go back to the standard size. Peephole.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

The best I've found are the peepholes

I wanted a peephole with a good clear picture and a privacy screen. This is the best I've found and when the area you're looking from is dark it's hard to tell what you're looking at. The large diameter (requires a 28mm hole) seems to really help with a bright/clear image. I recommend a TOGU DB-01 1-1/10" (28mm) heat treated HSS drill bit for the installation. I have a steel door with a foam core for insulation and the installation took about 3 minutes, most of which was drilling.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Everything is great

That's great!

I installed two of these, one on the front door and one on the back door. Easy to install but if you have a hollow core steel door I highly recommend you get a stepped (tapered) cutter that can work with metal because although the layers of steel on such doors are thin it is easier to work with right bit. Plus, installation was quick and easy. Улучшенный вид великолепен, и вы *не можете* заглянуть в дом снаружи, хотя откидная крышка типа "говорить легко" является дополнительной функцией, и если

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

The following tools are required. I drilled the center of the door from the inside out, but I would recommend drilling from the outside in in case wood is peeling around the hole from the outside. As soon as I got through the door I took the lentil piece, laid it on the outside, took the end and twisted it together, it literally took 2 minutes. Just make sure your doors aren't too thick, the lens is adjustable for this, so make sure your door is within dimensions!

  • Best
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Quality product but extremely misleading claims

This is a good quality peephole with a very clear view. I will probably buy more, although the price is a little high. However, the claimed viewing angle of 220° is not correct. Please look at the cross section illustration I made after using the goniometer to see what angle was actually visible after installation. Overall I got about 106°, with some kind of rounding or measurement error, maybe you can say 110°, maybe even up to 120°, but no more. We are dealing with a claim that is about 100%…

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
