This is a great mount that serves its intended purpose. A few things to note: you'll need to adjust the compression spring to accommodate the weight of your TV, as people have said. There's actually a little chart in the strut behind the spring that shows the weight. Here's how to adjust the spring for the weight of your TV. I only pre-adjusted before installation and did not have to adjust again after installation. The table is small, but it's there. Also, this mount will work with studs that are not centered at 16 inches. The back plate that mounts to the wall is 16 inches, but the actual rectangular plate that mounts to the back of the TV is about 20 inches. So you can move the TV about 3-4 inches left or right. My studs were about 1.5 to 2 inches off center and my TV was perfectly centered in relation to the chimney. As mentioned in other reviews, depending on the make and size of your TV, the mount may appear below or above the TV. I installed a 60" Samsung and didn't expect any problems. But depending on the location of the mounting holes on the TV and the holes on the bracket, the bracket needed to stick out about 1-2 inches. I was surprised to see this on a 60" TV I ended up, as mentioned in another review, I drilled holes in the mount just below where the other holes ended, this allowed me to adjust the mount almost 2 full inches and now I can't get anything behind mine Watch TV.Before installing it is necessary to measure the bracket and the holes to mount the TV.Fortunately I did it and it saved me a lot of time because I didn't have to disassemble it again.I have the chart that came with the bracket followed for mounting height so I didn't hit the cover when lowering it and it worked fine.In a fully upright position the TV sits about 2-3 zo ll over the body which looks good. Pitch and roll works great. I have full freedom of movement to put the TV in any angle I need for my room. All in all, if I didn't have to drill additional holes to hide the mount I would probably rate this 5/5 stars.
