I had high hopes for this drain plug as it would make oil changes a lot quicker, but they got lost due to poor installation due to incorrect thread size and the fact that even when it was the right size, I couldn't turn it because it doesn't clean the drain pan. This was ordered for a Ford Fusion 15 with a 2.0 liter Ecoboost that uses an M12-1.75 thread for the oil drain plug, which I should have checked before buying as the F106 only comes in the 2.5 -litre engine fits as it is an M14-1.5. Another problem is that the thread length is not long enough to screw into the drain hole due to the shape of the drain pan. The drain hole is recessed about 1" and the gap is only 1" to 1.6" wide which doesn't give enough room to twist this plug to screw it in. FYI, the 2.0-liter Ecoboost uses F107 and will likely need an adapter to clear the recessed drain hole. I will say it looks very well done, the lever opens and closes the valve as it should and I would love to see how it works in the future. If I find the right part I might buy it, but Dorman makes something similar, the EZ Drain Oil Plug, and it's $10-$15 cheaper, although it might not be great, but I'll keep looking.
