Review on π Enhance Sound Quality with Metra 82-8140 Speaker Adapter for 1996 Toyota Tacoma by Chris Ledet
Correspondence tables are wrong
Bought to drive a 2003 Toyota Tacoma. The match chart on Revain and the Metra website says they will fit. I took off the standard parts and put one of those in. I had to drill a hole in the adapter and door to insert the screw on the right side to keep it tight. Plugged in the new speaker and attached it to the adapter, but when I went to replace the door panel it wouldn't turn on because the adapter placed the new speaker outside of the hole in the door panel.
