The only thing to note is that it did not fit the 6 1/2" speaker as advertised. Luckily the replacement speakers came with adapter plates.

doesn't even come close to matching a 1999 Toyota Tacoma. I tried installing a JBL G7 but the product didn't work and ended up having to have it custom made at a stereo shop. waste of time!

Screw circumference of adapter plate was slightly smaller than needed. Luckily I was able to drill some small pilot holes in the posts next to the adapter holes and it worked.

I gave it 4 stars because I can see the product is well made, but it will not fit 01-04 double cabs or Tacoma with 6x8. Your door panels do not fit properly. I think Metra needs to update its spreadsheet. Your best bet is to look for 6x8 components or regular 6x8 speakers.

Perfect fit. Worked great to replace the door speakers in my 2000 Tacoma add-on cab. The new Pioneer 5 1/4 3-way speakers fit perfectly. I advise people to use foam tape or butyl caulk around the edge to eliminate the possibility of plastic-to-metal vibration that would otherwise occur. Stocks had it, but these didn't. Although it's easy to fix in 10 minutes.

Bought to drive a 2003 Toyota Tacoma. The match chart on Revain and the Metra website says they will fit. I took off the standard parts and put one of those in. I had to drill a hole in the adapter and door to insert the screw on the right side to keep it tight. Plugged in the new speaker and attached it to the adapter, but when I went to replace the door panel it wouldn't turn on because the adapter placed the new speaker outside of the hole in the door panel.
