Update: 4/29/2021 downgraded to one star. Worked for a while maybe 6 hours total with new 20A fuses then this afternoon no bumps just driving on a flat road for the grandson who blew again. Then I replaced them and immediately blew them all. I checked the circuit board and didn't notice anything, but showed a direct short to ground with a multimeter. I have just ordered an alternative design from a different supplier and manufacturer. Probably normal gain, maybe for 10A but not close to the claimed 30A. Original rating for 3 stars. This seems to work in a static environment as advertised as it worked fine with the dyno setup and using this speed control (ASIN B07TFSXNWJ) with DC. Engine. I set the UVP (under voltage protection) to 20.5VDC, CC (constant current) to 28A and the output voltage to 50VDC. Using 2-12V AGM batteries in series for 24VDC it kept 50VDC. normal regardless of the load up to 20-A. I only got 20A as that was about double the running current I expected the motor to run. I then added cruise control and it worked fine again so I put the whole thing in a kids pedal car which I motorize. Once again it seemed good but then when my grandson (26 lbs) rode it he ran into a small muddy bump about 3 inches high shortly after leaving and all 3 20 amp fuses blew . Low motor power consumption. Getting back to the specs, motor draw was 4.2A (210W) on flat ground, peaking at 6.7A (335W) on an 11-degree incline, the steepest stretch here. On a bump there was an instant peak of 25.2A at 0.13 seconds. Now I'm not exactly sure about the advertised denominations. If it's 30 amps / 1500 watts, why put in 20 amp fuses and blow them when they peak at 25.7 amps and 1285 watts during the recorded 0.13 seconds of bump hitting? ? Will try a different brand and style and return this as "overrated".
