Review on Large Mesquite Petstages Dogwood Wood Alternative Chew Toy for Dogs by Adam Jenkins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My Border Collie's best friend and savior to my personal posessions

My 2 year old Border Collie mix is the hardest, most persistent, and fixated chewer that I have ever encountered or heard of in my life. "Indestructible" firehose material toys, rope toys, balls, and even frisbees look like they have been through a meat grinder in mere minutes with this dog. Though these sticks break apart into little (safe to pass) pieces resembling burrs that get entangled into carpets, blankets, and every pair of socks one owns, the amount of joy and distraction they provide make them worthy of a lifetime subscription. One of these can survive at least a couple weeks of hardcore chewing before being reduced to a miniscule nub, which my dog then loves to toss around the house loudly in a game I can only describe as "soli-fetch".My roommate is a practicing Veterinarian, and his dog loves them almost as much, so the 2 pack is a no brainer. It is also the only way to get the crowd favorite Mint variety.

Pros
  • Great for dogs of all ages and sizes, promoting positive playtime habits
Cons
  • Could potentially cause damage to furniture or upholstery if dropped
