The only downside to these screws are the horrible screws you get in the box! I have 4 of these at home and the screws on each of them snapped off during installation. It was very annoying! Get your own screws and then installation is easy. The product itself is phenomenal. No one can open a door locked by one of them without a lot of noise and effort. They are very easy to lock and open; It only takes a few seconds once you understand what you are doing. However, one caveat. While they're easy to use once you know they work, they're counterintuitive to those who have never seen them before. Anytime someone walks into my house and I have a bolt, I show them how to use it in an emergency, and I'm not there to do it. But at the same time, I always tell them how much I love them and how much safer they make me feel at home.
