Review on Airaid AIR 310 137 310 137 Intake System by Tommie Lawson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fabulous! for the air intake

I installed this on my Jeep TJ 04 with a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine. Very little is available for this little-known, short-lived engine. I've already installed a performance exhaust, a K&N air filter from the factory box, and a JET Stage 2 chip, none of which gave a noticeable performance boost. The only thing I noticed is a lot more exhaust noise. With the installation of the Airaid air intake, the jeep woke up. It also makes a lot of intake noise, but is noticeably louder above 3000 rpm. Below 3000 rpm it is still good-natured, but pulls a little more than before. I don't know if all of the performance was credited to Airaid or a combination of all the upgrades. But this time I'm happy about the little 4 fireworks. Installation is easy and took about an hour with the help of my teenage son. I could probably finish this myself in about 30 minutes, but the learning experience for him would go a long way. Many of the instructions are based on images that are difficult to identify on the black and white documents accompanying the listing. I recommend going to the Airaid website and looking at the higher quality color images and instructions before beginning the installation. By the way, this intake works with the Jeep's factory air.
