I have a 2012 VW GTI mk 6 and the dealer offered $800 to replace the vacuum pump because it was leaking oil. After some research I have found that these vacuum pumps are leaking due to seal failure and not the pump itself so there is no reason to replace the entire pump. This kit was pretty easy to install, but I had to watch a few YouTube videos to understand everything I needed to take apart. First I had to remove the fuel pump, which was easy enough, and then the vacuum pump. The RKX rebuild video tutorials are great and I appreciate the torque specs provided for the bolts. It has been 3 weeks since installing this kit and the oil leak is completely resolved.
