Waste of time and money

Gaskets were too thin, not only wasted my time but also money. Frustration aside, now I have to buy a rental car until I find another one.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • High price

Worked best in complete gasket kits

A 2012 Tiguan had a vacuum pump leak. Fits perfectly, no more oil loss. Much cheaper than replacing a perfectly serviceable pump or spending $500 at the dealer. Would buy again!

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • New competitors appeared

Good value for money

High quality material. Easy to install and fixed my oil leak on my VW Tiguan 2.0 TSI. If you have mechanical skills, this is a good first choice for a $250 pre-delivery pump replacement. The supplier also has videos to help if needed.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Obsolete model

Good quality; happy with the results!

Gaskets look very nice and fit perfectly! I am happy with the results. Since it was my first time doing this specific job, it took me about 1-1/2 hours; It's not that hard, but you have to remove the battery from the car, some hoses and the fuel line. Not bad for saving $400 off dealer estimate.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • No instructions

Poor quality and wrong fit

The main elastic was too short and wouldn't seal if I used it. I used my old pad instead. The o-rings were also wrong and too thin and didn't seal properly. An O-ring for the air intake was also missing. All in all it was a completely worthless purchase and I would not use these parts!

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Useless features

Efficient and easy vacuum pump repair

The quality of the repair kit is excellent, the instructions are simple and with the right tools repairs are quick and efficient. I remember that I had to put a tray under the car so as not to dirty the floor in the garage. After cleaning and replacing the seals, the oil leak is gone and everything works perfectly again. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Out of fashion

This kit saved $800

I have a 2012 VW GTI mk 6 and the dealer offered $800 to replace the vacuum pump because it was leaking oil. After some research I have found that these vacuum pumps are leaking due to seal failure and not the pump itself so there is no reason to replace the entire pump. This kit was pretty easy to install, but I had to watch a few YouTube videos to understand everything I needed to take apart. First I had to remove the fuel pump, which was easy enough, and then the vacuum pump. The RKX rebuild
