Left retractable footrest The 2014 Cadillac Escalade engine is dead for good. This stock engine and bracket is a perfect match. Replacing it was a big hassle as GM did NOT make it easy, but replacing the entire motor and front bracket assembly is what to do when the original electric motor fails. I had to remove the entire stand and bracket from the car just to replace the motor and front bracket. Can be done by one person like I did, but would be a lot easier with two people. Once installed, a quick reset of the kickstand system and it's been working great ever since. It's also much quieter than the old engine. Only time will tell if it will hold up, but for a much lower price than an OEM motor and mount, it's at least worth a try!
