You MUST only use one application of the GEL dye. If you try to apply a second coat of gel polish, the second coat will remove the first coat and ruin your finish. DO NOT rub the excess stain as the entire gel stain will come off your rag. Once you've applied the gel color, that's it. Don't touch it! Next, wait 24 hours for polyurethane. I used Minwax oil based polyurethane - just one coat. Finally, 18ga stud nails work great. The manufacturer recommends a 23-gauge nail gun, but this is NOT required for attaching to baseboard.
